Product Overview
Pearl Tissue Paper is soft lightweight wrapping tissue with delicate pearlescent iridescent shimmer, based on MF or MG tissue substrate. Supplied in industrial jumbo rolls, small rolls and custom flat sheet, widely used for luxury gift box inner lining, cosmetic packaging, jewelry wrapping, flower packaging, seasonal gift packaging and handicraft decoration.
Distinct from metallic tissue with strong mirror luster, pearl tissue delivers soft, subtle milky pearlescent glow with gentle color shift under light. Two main production types:
Water-based pearlescent pigment coated tissue:
Pearlescent powder mixed into aqueous binder and coated directly on tissue base, no plastic film composite.Pearl pigment dyed-in pulp tissue:
Pearlescent additives incorporated during pulp beating, luster runs through paper fiber.Available grammage: 17g – 30g. Standard colors: pearl white, pearl cream, pearl champagne, pearl pink, pearl lavender. Custom Pantone pearlescent color matching for bulk orders. Supports gravure printing for brand logo and simple graphic marks.

✅ Ultra-Thin, Supple & Great Drape Light tissue base, easy to fold, crumple and wrap. Soft surface will not scratch delicate items such as jewelry, cosmetics and leather goods.
✅ Two Technical Options for Different Requirements
• Coated pearl tissue: Higher pearl brightness, flexible to adjust shimmer intensity; optional top seal coating to reduce powder shedding. Plastic-free version available for EU PPWR.
• Pulp-added pearl tissue: Luster embedded inside fiber, less surface powder loss, more stable when repeatedly folded; pearlescent effect relatively milder.
✅ Balanced Tensile Strength & Low Lint Refined pulp formulation minimizes loose fiber dust. Suitable for slitting, sheet cutting and automatic packaging machines.
✅ Optional Color Fixation Color-fixed grade available to avoid pigment bleeding or transfer under compression and humid conditions.

Add transparent top sealing varnish to lock pearlescent pigments; friction test before shipment.
Uneven pearlescent glow, partial dull areas
Precision coating control + full-width online visual inspection to remove defective sections during slitting.
Pigment transfer to wrapped products
Select color-fixed grade. Moisture and compression bleeding test before delivery.
Paper tears easily during automatic packaging
Optimize pulp formulation and tensile strength to match customer machine speed.
Poor printing, fuzzy ink on pearlescent surface
Surface corona treatment optional. Pre-production printing test is mandatory.
Batch difference in pearlescent brightness & hue
Locked reference sample and fixed production parameters, online color & luster inspection for each roll.

Anti-UV additive optional for products for long shelf display; store away from direct sunlight.

Shipping & Logistics Recommendations
Jumbo pearl tissue rolls packed with thick paper tube core, edge guards and waterproof film to prevent moisture from weakening coating adhesion. Flat sheets packed with hardboard interlayer + moisture-proof PE bags to avoid compression and surface abrasion. Store in dry, ventilated warehouse. High humidity will cause coating peeling and reduce pearl luster. Avoid heavy compression. Stack height ≤1.5m. Bulk export orders support 5-layer reinforced cartons and pallet packaging for long sea freight. Material composition declaration available for EU PPWR. 24-hour after-sales support for packaging application and quality issues.
