Product Overview
Glitter Paper is a premium decorative specialty paper with glitter particles directly coated onto paper base. Supplied in industrial jumbo rolls and custom flat sheet sizes, designed for rigid box surface lamination, luxury packaging, gift box decoration, hang tags and brand premium packaging production.
There are two major types in the market: Glitter Laminated Paper (film composite type) and Glitter Coated Paper (direct glitter coating type).
• Glitter Laminated Paper: PE/PET glitter film laminated onto paper substrate. The glitter is sealed inside plastic film, high anti-shedding performance, but contains plastic layer, may impact recyclability under EU PPWR.
• Glitter Coated Paper: Fine glitter powder mixed with water-based adhesive and directly coated on paper surface. No plastic film lamination, paper-based structure, more recyclable; requires proper top coating to reduce glitter shedding.

Uniformly distributed glitter flakes deliver continuous sparkling highlights under light. Adjustable glitter density from subtle shimmer to bold high-glitter effect.
Good Rigid Box Mounting Performance
Balanced stiffness and flatness, stable after pasting on grey board, low warping risk during post processing.
Adjustable Glitter Particle Size
Fine powder for delicate subtle sparkle; coarse flakes for eye-catching prominent glitter effect, customizable per design.
Multiple Craft Compatibility
Hot stamping and debossing create sharp contrast on glitter background. Direct offset printing is not recommended due to uneven textured surface.

FAQ & Quality Solutions
Glitter flake falling off
Glitter laminated type: Film encapsulation, almost no shedding.
Glitter coated type: Optional clear top seal coating process. Friction test before shipment to minimize glitter loss.
Uneven glitter distribution and blank areas
Online visual inspection during coating/laminating process, defective sections will be removed before slitting.
Warping after mounting on grey board
Moisture stabilization treatment for base paper. Balance moisture content to reduce deformation after lamination.
Poor hot stamping adhesion
Adjust stamping temperature, pressure and speed for glitter textured surface. Pre-production test is mandatory.
Batch difference in glitter brightness & color
Locked reference sample and fixed formula. Color & sparkle inspection for every production batch.
Surface scratches
Protective film available for laminated version; anti-scratch top coat optional for glitter coated paper.

Shipping & Logistics Recommendations
Jumbo glitter paper rolls packed with thick paper tube, edge guards and waterproof film, avoid friction causing glitter loss. Flat sheets packed with hard board interlayer and moisture-proof wrapping, prevent compression and surface abrasion. Store in dry, constant humidity warehouse. High humidity weakens adhesive bonding of glitter layer. Reduce friction during handling. Stack height ≤1.0m. Bulk export orders support pallet packing for long-distance sea freight. Material composition declaration can be provided for EU PPWR. 24-hour after-sales support for transit damage and quality issues.
